Welcome, fellow travel and food enthusiasts, to a journey of flavours and laughter as we embark on a delightful exploration of the renowned and prized Luwak coffee. Join us as we'll uncover the secrets behind this exotic brew and learn where to savour it in perfect Balinese style.

For those who does not know what Luwak coffee is:

Luwak coffee, also known as "cat poop coffee" (yes, you read that right!), is a type of coffee that is produced in Indonesia.

This unique brew is a true gift from nature, with a story as fascinating as its flavour. Produced from coffee beans that have been excreted by the Asian palm civet, a small cat-like mammal found in the forests of Bali, the beans are then collected from their feces, cleaned, roasted, and brewed into a delicious cup of coffee.

It might sound gross, but some people swear by the unique and complex flavour of this coffee. They say it has a rich, full-bodied taste with notes of chocolate and caramel, and a distinctive earthy flavour that's hard to find anywhere else.

However, we do have to acknowledge that not everyone is a fan of the idea of drinking coffee that's been pooped out by a cat!

Not a thing for everyone but, if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something truly unique, Luwak coffee might be just the thing for you!

Picture this: lush greenery enveloping you in a warm embrace, the gentle rustle of palm leaves in the breeze, and the tantalising aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. This, my friends, is the enchanting setting of Satria Coffee Plantation, where time slows down, and every sip is a moment to cherish.

We braced ourselves for the first taste. To my surprise, a symphony of flavours unfolded on the palate - smooth, rich, and… not quite sure if was a positive feeling or not, let me say… strangely satisfying, but it tasted like nature!
